OR now has Heat Seeking Missiles and 2 Player Co-Op.
Second Player (2nd Gamepad Connected) now moves a targeting reticle to lock onto AI controlled ships. Once a lock has been made a heat seeking missile can be fired. The Player 1 can also fire missile by using left trigger.
Multithreaded loading of models has also been added to help with load time and preventing render errors caused by drawing models before textures and models were ready.
At this point only Gamepads are supported for moving and controlling the environment (we have mapped all the keys for debugging). If you want to give it a try... follow the steps below
Runs only on Google Chrome, you will need to enable gamepad flag by going to chrome://flags and search for gamepad API and enable
Requires an XBOX 360 or PS3 controller
X/B will toggle the debug mode, where you will see framerate and bounding volumes
Y/A will toggle the enemy ship chasing after you
Right Trigger Fires Lasers
Left Trigger Fires Missile (Once Target Locked)
Top shoulders will attach/detach camera
back/select, starts and stops music
Left stick moves reticle, 4 second on target create a lock, and reticle turns red
Right Trigger: fires missile
Does it run, what is your framerate and PC specs? Tell us on Twitter or Facebook (@GameTheoryLabs)
By the way, the development server is slow... so you may have to refresh a few times to get everything loaded
